Excellence in Action Scholarship Award
The “Excellence in Action” Scholarship Award, presented by the Alpha Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, recognizes outstanding African-American female high school seniors who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to community service. This scholarship seeks to support and empower recipients as they pursue higher education and continue making meaningful contributions to their communities.
Scholarship Application Information
Eligibility Verification

GPA between 2.7–3.2 (4.0 scale)

Admitted to an accredited 4-year college or university
Submission Requirements
To be considered for the “Excellence in Action” Scholarship Award, please attach the following:

Professional Typed Resume and Community Service Portfolio:

A summary of your academic achievements, work experience, community service involvement, extracurricular activities, including leadership, roles, and honors.

Letters of Recommendation:

One academic reference (e.g., teacher or school counselor)
-
One community reference (e.g., mentor, church leader, or employer)

Diploma Verification:
-
A letter from your high school counselor confirming your anticipated graduation by June 20.

Deadline to submit the application is June 26, 2026, no exceptions.
